Meeke pledges to improve Kris Meeke has vowed to raise his game after allowing a golden chance for victory at last weekend’s Rally Guanajuato Mexico to slip through his hands. Third place for the Citroën C3 driver positions him fourth in the championship standings, but Meeke was frustrated that a series of mistakes ended the chance of repeating his 2017 victory on the high-altitude gravel roads. “I have to be better, simple as that,” he told wrc.com. “Too many mistakes this weekend. I had everything in my hands to fight for the victory. I had the road position, the car was good enough to win and I had the pace to win but I wasn’t able to convert it....
