Ott Tanak extends Chile lead while Thierry Neuville has a big crash

Ott Tanak has extended his Rally Chile lead, holding a 30.3 second advantage with 58 kilometres left to run. Tanak took two more stage wins for Toyota in another flawless day in South America, leaving second-placed reigning champion Sebastien Ogier far behind. However the talking-point of Saturday was Thierry Neuville’s almighty crash on the second stage of the day. Neuville was closing in on second when his i20 hit the bank and rolled seven times, with Hyundai initially fearing the Belgian had broken his leg.
