FIA launches WRC tender for sustainable fuels and energy as part of hybrid plans

The FIA has launched a three-part tender process for the World Rally Championship, seeking prospective suppliers to bid for three specific packages in relation to the supply of energy for the championship from 2022 to 2024 as part of its plans to go hybrid. This comes on the back of the successful FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme, through which the FIA has already announced significant changes to the technical regulations from 2022, including the introduction of hybrid technology.
